The Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa-CDC) has scored high the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Delta camp, on compliance of COVID-19 testing and protocols.
The representative of the Africa-CDC Mrs. Chukwuemeka Anthonia, commended the management of the orientation camp for the high level of compliance to COVID-19 protocols when she visited the camp during the 2021 Batch 'A' Stream 2 Orientation Course.
Mrs. Chukwuemeka maintained that record keeping and transmitting of data to the NCDC web is properly done and highly commendable. She remarked that the camp is clean and charged the camp management to continue to keep surveillance on COVID-19.
In addition, Miss Angela Okocha from the Nigeria Center for Disease and Control (NCDC) domiciled in camp maintained that the drive for COVID-19 compliance level is highly commendable. She stated that the COVID-19 team with her on camp are very professional in carrying out the assignment.
The NYSC Delta State Coordinator Mrs Olutayo Samuel (JP) thanked the Africa-CDC representative Mrs. Chukwuemeka Anthonia for her observations and assured the visitor that she and her team will not let the guard down.
Mrs. Samuel informed the Africa-CDC representative that the COVID-19 Vanguard Group has been inaugurated to enforce total compliance in the camp. Also adequate publicity carried out to sensitize the camp Community on the need to wash their hands regularly, use of facemasks and observation of physical distance as measures already in place for the good of the camp Community.
Highlights were the crosschecking of the records of the corps medical personnel involved in the testing, recording and transmission of COVID-19 data to the NCDC website and taking of group Photographs.
