ALHAJI ABDULRAZAK CHARGE CORPS MEMBERS TO PROMOTE NATIONAL UNITY. COMMISSION 300 PLASTIC CHAIRS FOR CAMP USE IN DELTA STATE.
The Director of Community Development Service and Special Projects (CDS&SP) from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), National Directorate Headquarters (NDHQ), Abuja, Alhaji Abdulrazak A. Salawu has charged the corps members to continue promoting national unity and cohesion, in the face of present challenges facing our nation Nigeria.
The Director, emphasized on the need for effective service delivery and humility, as corps members constitutes the elite group and future leaders of tomorrow. He urged them to maintain high moral standard and the need for good conduct at all times and in all places.
Alhaji Abdulrazak Salawu called on the corps members to integrate properly and interact positively, be conscious of their environment, remain security conscious and impact positively on people around them and their host Community.
The Director also mentioned that every aspect of the service year is important and the orientation course remains the bedrock of other cardinal programmes to ensure a successful service year. He called on the corps members to utilize the orientation course programme, by offering themselves to the activities outlined and most importantly the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, which opens opportunities for self development and self actualization.
Alhaji Abdulrazak made known the need for corps members to leave indelible marks in their host Community through identification and execution of Community felt needs and projects.
The Director appreciated the Delta State Government for the supports and assistance to the Scheme. He thanked the parents and guardians of Corps members for their efforts in seeing their wards thus far. He also extend his appreciation to all camp Officials for a job well done.
The State Coordinator Mrs Olutayo Samuel (JP) thanked the Director CDS &SP Alhaji Abdulrazak Salawu for his one day working visit to NYSC Delta State. She stated that the corps members of 2021 Batch 'A' Stream 2 Orientation Course have been disciplined and committed to the ideals of national service.
Mrs. Samuel mentioned that she is optimistic that the batch of Corps Members with the show of commitment, dedication and discipline will finish well after their one year sojourn in Delta State.
Highlights were the inspection of camp facilities, meeting with NYSC officials and commissioning of additional 300 new plastic seats in the multi-purpose hall.
