The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Delta State today flagged off the training of Corps Members for the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) at Oshimili South Local Goverment Area Council.
The event which marks the official training of Corps Members as enumerators of the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme was flagged off by the State Coordinator Mrs. Olutayo Samuel (JP).
Mrs. Samuel charged the corps members to be disciplined and committed to the training exercise. She called on them to remain good ambassadors of the NYSC Scheme and their respective families and be ready to join the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme as enumerator's to assist capture the schools and children involved for record purpose.
The State Coordinator, appreciates the Federal Government for it's initiatives in catching the very young ones for basic Education. She is optimistic that the partnership with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and collaboration with other sister agencies of government will bring positive results on the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP).
In attendance were representative of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs Mr. Efemena Majoroh, Dr. Gabriel Ken. Gadaffi (State Consultant, National Home Grown School Feeding Programme), Assistant Director Community Development Service, Mr. Johnson Ainakhu, Zonal Inspector Asaba Zone Mr. Wellington Okun and Local Goverment Inspector's of the respective LGA under Asaba Zonal Office of the NYSC.
Highlights was the sample presentation of training kit to corps participants for the National Home Grown School Feeding training programme and group photograph.
