Delta: DSS BOSS LAUD NYSC SCHEME FOR UNITY AND INTEGRATION.


The Department of State Services (DSS) has described the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as one that has help the country foster unity and integration through their primary function of remoulding the graduate youth and deployment of Corps Members to states other than State of Origin.

This statement was credited to Mr. Ademola C. Adebiyi, State Director, Department of State Services, while playing host to the new NYSC Delta State Coordinator, Mr. Alao Olaosebikan Olusegun in his office at Asaba.

The helmsman of the DSS welcomed the new State Coordinator to Delta State and assured him of continuing support in areas of security of corps members, corps lodges across the State and the orientation camp. He appreciated the NYSC for the support in manufacturing and donation of facemasks, hand sanitizers and sensitization carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. He also mentioned that the synergy's between the NYSC and the Security Agencies in the past has been cordial and commended the Scheme for posting of corps doctors to the agency in time past.

Mr. Ademola, condemned the recent  fire incident at the NYSC Secretariat and promised a robust and cordial work relations with the NYSC Scheme in the State.

Earlier on, the State Coordinator Mr Alao Olusegun O. intimated the DSS boss of his new posting to the State and appreciated him for the quick response to receiving him in his office upon  assumption. He stated that the  Department of State Services is one critical stakeholders of the Scheme and the role in complementing security architecture for corps locations in the State is appreciated by the NYSC management.

Mr. Alao prayed for more cooperation, as he looks forward for a more robust synergy between the NYSC and the DSS.
