'DELTA NO DEY CARRY LAST', AS CONTINGENTS BRING BACK GOLD AND SILVER MEDALS.

The popular saying that "Delta No Dey Carry Last"  once again was witnessed in the just concluded finals of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Director- General's Sports and Cultural Festival in Abuja.

The State contingents came back home with gold medals  in athletics 100 meters men and 4×100 meters men and Silver medals in 100 meters women and 4×100 meters women.

The competition which was keenly contested from the Zonal prelimineries saw the elimination of other sister States in Dance and Drama, Comedy, Football, Volleyball and athletics competition.

Delta State qualification to the finals in Abuja and clinching the gold and silver medals is very significant to the existence of the NYSC Secretariat  with records of high performance and youth development.

The gold and silver medals won in athletics is not far fetched from the efforts of the Executive Governor of Delta State Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa in youth development through sports and identifying talents in the youth of the State.

The Management, Staff and Corps members in the State celebrates with our own contingents for doing the State proud in the just concluded edition of NYSC Director-General's Sports and Cultural Festival competition. 

The State Government looks forward to having the likes of Blessing Okagbare, Divine Oduduru, Raymond Ekevwo, Itseoritse Itsekiri and Ese Brume, win on a larger scale for the State. Congratulations NYSC, Team Delta.

*CORPS MEMBERS CHEER DG NYSC OVER DONATIONS*

By Uwa Philip The 2023 Batch B stream 1 corps members in Delta State have applauded the Director-General, Brig Gen YD Ahmed FSS, MSS, DSS, MTRCN, MNARC, fdc, fnli, for his donation of two bulls, a ram, and ten chickens as promised One of the bulls donated by the NYSC DG . The Director-General who visited the Orientation Camp recently was pleased with the good reports and good conduct of corps members conduct, hence he pronounced the donation of items for the celebration of their graduation.  The Second bull for corps members' graduation ceremony in Delta State Camp General Ahmed admonished the corps members to strive to be good ambassadors of the scheme by contributing meaningfully towards the upliftment of their host communities, avoiding unauthorized journeys, and being security conscious at all times.
