*MR. ALAO FLAGS OFF LECTURE SERIES FOR 2023 BATCH B STREAM 1 CORPS MEMBERS*

The NYSC Delta State Coordinator Mr. Alao, Olusegun Olaosebikan has flagged off the lecture series in camp for the 2023 Batch B stream 1 orientation course. 

The State Coordinator charged the batch of corps members to pay attention to the various lectures organized to prepare them ahead of the challenges of the service year. He buttressed that the series of lectures they would be exposed to is different from the ones they had in schools as are relatable.

In the first lecture on Security Awareness by a security expert from octopus security consultancy, Captain Peter Idoga (rtd) gave out security tips beneficiary to corps members at the multi-purpose hall.

Speaking on the need to create Personal Security Awareness among corps members, Capt. Idoga maintained that in life, one couldn't be completely free from danger, hence, the need for all to be equipped with security tips. He also noted that no country in the world is completely free from this issue of insecurity.

The security expert shared some security tips with the corps members including the use of recording tapes when necessary, avoiding red light zones, protecting important documents, and avoiding giving out personal information when not necessary.

Captain Idoga warned strongly against traveling at night and boarding vehicles from the roadside instead of recognized motor parks. He further urged them not to compromise their security.

By Uwa Philip The 2023 Batch B stream 1 corps members in Delta State have applauded the Director-General, Brig Gen YD Ahmed FSS, MSS, DSS, MTRCN, MNARC, fdc, fnli, for his donation of two bulls, a ram, and ten chickens as promised One of the bulls donated by the NYSC DG . The Director-General who visited the Orientation Camp recently was pleased with the good reports and good conduct of corps members conduct, hence he pronounced the donation of items for the celebration of their graduation.  The Second bull for corps members' graduation ceremony in Delta State Camp General Ahmed admonished the corps members to strive to be good ambassadors of the scheme by contributing meaningfully towards the upliftment of their host communities, avoiding unauthorized journeys, and being security conscious at all times.
