*NYSC ORGANIZES DRILLS COMPETITION TO PROMOTE SELF-DISCIPLINE AND TEAMWORK.*

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Delta State in collaboration with the Nigerian Army has organized the 2023 Batch B Stream 1 Inter-platoon Drills Competition to promote self-discipline and teamwork among Corps members.

The event which took place at the campground of NYSC Delta State Permanent Orientation Camp, in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area, witnessed Officers and men of the Nigerian Army from 63 Brigade Asaba as judges for the inter-platoon drills competition. 

It was an atmosphere of joy and celebration when representatives from the ten platoons matched to be crowned the overall winner of the inter-platoon drill competition. 

The Chief Judge of the Six Man Panel of Judges, Major D.E Obi noted that the purpose of the drills competition was to instill a sense of teamwork, discipline, and self-control.

Platoon number 7 emerged as the overall best in the 2023 Batch B Stream 1 Inter-platoon Drills Competition in Delta State 

In addition, the NYSC Delta State Coordinator, Mr Alao Olusegun Olaosebikan commended the corps members for the zeal and passion put in the drills to make it memorable to all. 

The State Coordinator who was represented by the Camp Director, Mr. Johnson Ainakhu gave out prizes to the 1st 2nd, and 3rd place platoons and advised the participants to take 
the outcome of the Drills competition in good faith as in every competition, there must be a winner.

The high points of the drills competition were the match past in slow and quick match by the 10 platoons and the outward performance by the Drills Instructors to the amusement of all. Platoon number 2 was 2nd while 5 Platoon was 3rd.  9th Platoon was 10th, these platoons were awarded trophies for their positions.
